Security at 3750 E Spring Street

The main Don Temple Storage location at 3750 E Spring Street is our full-service facility, housing both self-storage units and the outdoor lot for RV, boat, and vehicle storage. Security at this location is layered across the physical property and access controls.

Fenced Outdoor Storage Lot
The outdoor storage area where RVs, boats, and other vehicles are parked is enclosed with perimeter fencing. The fencing separates the storage lot from the street and prevents unauthorized entry from the outside. You will not find vehicles parked in an open lot with no barrier at this location.
Key Card Access to the Outdoor Lot
Entry to the fenced outdoor storage area requires a key card. Tenants receive a key card when they rent an outdoor space. The key card is required every time you enter the lot. Access is only possible during business hours, 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. There is no after-hours access.
Security Cameras
Security cameras are mounted on the main office building and positioned to cover the storage areas. Camera coverage includes the office-side of the property and the outdoor storage lot. If you have questions about camera placement at this location, ask a staff member when you visit.
Staffed Facility During All Business Hours
This is not an unstaffed lot where you enter a gate code and manage everything yourself. Staff are on-site at 3750 E Spring Street during all operating hours, Monday through Sunday from 8am to 6pm. If something comes up at the property, there is someone there to deal with it.
Restricted Access Hours
The facility is open 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. Outside of those hours, the lot is closed and key cards are inactive. The access restriction is itself a security feature, limiting the window during which anyone can enter the property.

What You Should Know About Storage Security

We take the security of our facilities seriously, but we want to be straightforward about what physical security measures can and cannot do.
Insurance is Your Responsibility
Don Temple Storage is not liable for loss or damage to stored property. We strongly recommend that tenants carry insurance on items they store with us. Your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy may extend coverage to off-site storage. If it does not, consider purchasing a separate storage insurance policy before you move anything in. We do not offer insurance through the facility, so this is entirely in your hands.
Bring a Good Lock
Your individual storage unit is secured by the lock you put on it. We sell locks on-site for $10 if you do not have one, but the quality of your lock matters. A solid disc lock or a quality padlock is a better choice than a basic combination lock. The facility's security features protect the property as a whole, but your lock is the last line of defense on your specific unit.
No After-Hours Access
The restricted access hours work both ways. You cannot enter the property after 6pm, and neither can anyone else. If you have a genuine emergency need to access your stored belongings outside of business hours, you will need to plan around our operating hours.
